Healing and Aftercare Instructions for Microblading at Brows Are Us

Immediate Post-Procedure Care:

  1. First 24 Hours:
    • Gently blot your eyebrows with a clean tissue to absorb any lymph fluid.
    • Do not touch, pick, or scratch your brows.
  2. Cleaning:
    • Clean your brows gently with a damp cotton pad and sterile water every 2-3 hours to prevent the formation of scabs.
    • Avoid using any cleansers or soaps on the treated area.

Day 1-7:

  1. Moisturizing:
    • Apply a thin layer of the aftercare ointment provided by your artist 2-3 times a day.
    • Use a clean cotton swab to apply the ointment and avoid using your fingers.
  2. Avoiding Water:
    • Keep your brows dry. Avoid washing your face with water; use a cleansing wipe for the surrounding areas.
    • Avoid heavy sweating, swimming, and hot showers.

Day 7-14:

  1. Scabbing and Peeling:
    • Your brows will start to flake and peel; this is a normal part of the healing process.
    • Do not pick or peel the flakes; let them fall off naturally.
  2. Continued Care:
    • Continue to keep the area moisturized with a thin layer of aftercare ointment.
    • Avoid applying makeup on the treated area until it has fully healed.

Long-Term Care:

  1. Sun Protection:
    • After your brows have healed, always apply a layer of SPF 30 or higher to protect them from fading due to sun exposure.
  2. Touch-Up:
    • Schedule a touch-up session 4-6 weeks after your initial procedure to perfect your brows.
  3. Maintenance:
    • Avoid exfoliating treatments or harsh skincare products on your brows.
    • Use gentle facial cleansers and avoid oil-based products on the treated area.

What to Expect During Healing:

  1. Day 1-3:
    • Your brows will appear darker and bolder.
    • There might be slight redness and tenderness.
  2. Day 4-7:
    • Brows will start to scab and flake off.
    • Color may appear uneven during this phase.
  3. Day 8-14:
    • Flaking will continue, and brows may look lighter.
    • The true color will start to emerge as the skin heals.
  4. Day 15-30:
    • The color will stabilize and appear more natural.
    • Any areas that appear patchy or uneven will be addressed during your touch-up session.

Following these aftercare instructions will ensure optimal healing and longevity of your microbladed brows, giving you the best results.
